ABOUT US

We began in 2005 as a community response to negative health impacts affecting youth and the wider community in Puna, Hawai'i. From 2005-2008 GCDG worked to establish the first middle college dual credit program in the state of Hawai`i. There, we operated a youth-driven learning center, offering programs in music and recording, digital media, and culinary arts.

Today, we partner with several community projects around food sustainability, 'aloha aina, ho'oponopono, youth and elder enrichment, arts events, and community activism. We strive to uplift our community through diverse programs, focusing on health and wellness, culture, and family well being.
